I developed an interest in computers around 20 years ago and began learning AmigaBASIC at that time. Since then, I have assembled, disassembled and fixed countless computers and their software, and become competent in their operation. I am comfident in my ability to do whatever my clients require with their systems, and enjoy expanding my knowledge to solve new problems. As Samuel Johnson said,
"Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it."

Upon registering for a business number (ABN 17 739 914 236), I began and continue to maintain computers and peripherals and web sites for a number of clients, generating a modest income. I do this in person, over the phone, and remotely on a regular basis. Below are the most common tasks I perform, and the interests section lists where I am developing skills.
I maintain my own servers and host most of the below web sites using two of these at separate locations. I have a Windows server for my personal network, and two Debian GNU/Linux servers hosting web, database and e-mail servers with limited public access and administered using an SSH console.
I have worked closely with SAAGA and its members to enhance this site over the last 2 years. I am developing my Flash/ActionScript and CSS skills to make the site more interesting. I have also filmed and photographed the first two golf tournaments, and links to these are found on the SAAGA home page.

I have worked with Loan Domain for several years mostly maintaining their small network of computers, including an office relocation. I have done a small amount of work on their web site, but would like to do more.
